Reinforcing 1 out of every 3 automobile tires and 2 out of every 3 aircraft tires in the world with its tire reinforcement technologies, Kordsa is now in a position to reinforce landing tracks of those aircrafts with its construction reinforcement technologies, and aircraft fuselage, engine and wings with its composite technologies. We develop environmentally-friendly products in the tire industry that reduce fuel consumption and provide better wet grip, and we develop technologies that allow for lighter cars, performing with lower fuel consumption and lower carbon emissions in the composite industry. With our more durable and practical reinforcement solutions for infrastructure and superstructure projects in the construction industry we give our touch to every aspect of life.
R&D and innovation are an integral part of Kordsa’s corporate culture. Kordsa’s first R&D center, established in Izmit in 2007, serves as an innovation kitchen for tire and construction reinforcement technologies for both the global and Turkish market. Kordsa’s second R&D center is located in the Composite Technologies Center of Excellence which brings together R&D, innovation and production under one roof. Composite Technologies Center of Excellence, one of the very few test centers globally, hosts basic and applied research, technology and product development, entrepreneurship and production processes as well as researchers, designers, engineers, production process managers and workers, PhD students, post-doctoral fellows, faculty members, and incubation center entrepreneurs. With an open innovation approach, Kordsa cooperates with a number of universities and institutions, thus extending its R&D and innovation efforts in order to develop technologies that create a difference and value.
A number of prestigious awards attests to Kordsa’s global success thanks to its innovative technologies, human resources practices, and work ethics. In addition to awards in Turkey, Kordsa has been listed among the best employers in Bahia, Brazil for three years in a row by the Great Place to Work Institute. Kordsa also entered the “Top 100 Fastest Growing Companies” selected by Infobank, Indonesia’s economy magazine. Kordsa has been selected the Exports Champion in Indonesia and its project leader rolling out the “Safety Experience Center” project earned the “Best Employee” award in Indonesia for two years in a row.
